How we check
We read what each place publishes and what it tells us, and keep the source and the date for every line. Money never moves a score, a place in the list or a seal.
Four steps, on real places
Every place goes through the same four steps. Each one is shown here on a place we have read.
The Wellness Score
A score out of 10, shown as a ring that fills to the number. It brings the eight lines below together, with the strongest proof counting most. A line a place does not publish is left out, never counted as zero.
How places are ranked
Places are ordered by what they can prove, best evidence first. A place in the top quarter of the index carries a tag: Top 1%, 5%, 10% or 25% worldwide. Below that we show no rank. Nothing anyone pays changes the order, and the seal never lifts a place up the list.
The Human Garage Certified Space seal
The seal means a Human Garage assessor visited in person and checked all eight lines on site. Human Garage is the only issuer. Certified places carry a tier: Aligned, Advanced or Sanctuary. Only an in-person assessment can bring a line to 10.
Three standings
Eight things we check
Four words for what a place can prove
A missing line is a gap in what we found, never a verdict on the building.
